Last week, No Devotion announced their debut album 'Permanence' would be released on 25th September 2015.
A few different singles have been released over the course of a year. Double A Side Stay/Eyeshadow was played for the first time in July 2014, simultaneously announcing Richard Jamie Oliver, Lee Gaze, Mike Lewis, Stu Richardson and Geoff Rickly were making music together. 10,000 Summers came next late last year (B Side 'Only Thing'), followed by 'Addition' which was played for the first time on Sunday 5th July.
If you are unfamiliar with the music of No Devotion, you can hear inundating influences by bands such as The Cure, New Order and Joy Division to name a few. Lots of synth and guitar riffs, heavy bass lines, rock grooves and somewhat coercing and defining vocals from front man Rickly.
Without further ado, you can listen to Addition below. It's a grower.
