This weeks SOTW is on a slightly different topic: Football.
Tomorrow (12th June 2015) at 7:45pm, Wales play the biggest and most important competitive International match for a long time against one of the strongest Belgium teams there has ever been. Currently ranked 2nd in the world, there's absolutely no doubt that Belgium are favourites to win this European Championship Qualifier on paper. Wales on the other hand are 22nd, occupy 2nd place in Group B on joint 11 points with, you guessed it - Belgium.
Wales have played some outstanding football during this campaign, a rarity from a Welsh fan's perspective. A convincing, strong performance led to a 3-0 win away at Israel back in March - the best Welsh victory in at least 10 years.
The last time Wales met Belgium ended in a well-fought 0-0 draw in Brussels, back in November 2014. Either team could have taken all 3 points, but what a result for Wales to get a point against a world class Belgian side on their own turf.
Tomorrow evening at the Cardiff City Stadium - a 33,000 sell out crowd cheering on a Welsh team that could go on to make history and qualify for a major tournament. An achievement that has not been fulfilled since the World Cup of 1958 - 57 years ago. We've come very close on a handful of occasions but always slipped up at the final hurdle.
When you have the likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in the team, anything can happen for Wales on the night.
So for this week, 'Kernkraft 400' by Zombie Nation is the song choice. A trance song straight out of the 90's; catchy riff throughout, sure to get Cardiff rocking on Friday night. This is dedicated to the players, staff and Welsh fans on Friday night.
Come on Wales!
